Beyond the Canvas
Pat's latest experiment combines original photographs on canvas with beadwork. This process emphasizes the lines and colours of the photographs and highlights the global use of beads to express beauty and culture. The idea of applying beads to canvas started as a dream for Pat while visiting Istanbul, Turkey and became a reality during the July 2016 “Created in the Canyon” project hosted at Miles Canyon by the Yukon Conservation Society. Pat has since created a body of work utilizing this technique and will be exhibited for the first time in public at Arts Underground.
